I have seen people always saying that their hearts are broken, but what happens if their minds get broken too. Sometimes, it is easy to handle broken hearts but when it comes to mind it becomes hell to even breathe as when our mind gets broken, we are not in a state to think wisely, smartly, carefully, and even intelligence doesn’t help in this.

Essentially, this Covid-19 pandemic has impacted not only on our physical health but also on our mental health a lot. Talking from my perspective when Covid 19 started in 2020, that year became very hard to pass as we all were locked at our home and had suffered like anything.

According to me, the most painful part of our life is when we lose someone who were so close to our heart and the most painful part is that death has no solution, as we can’t bring that person back in our life, we can’t feel that person in our life, we can’t see that person in our life, we can’t talk to that person in our life. That person only becomes part of our memories.

In 2020, there were 10,073.48 thousand deaths in India.

And 2021 was no less than 2020, as it also took many lives. When we lose our loved ones, we do lose our senses, our mind, many things. Then we actually face that our mind is broken.

Broken minds have many adverse side effects on our mind as well as body. Later, we would discuss it as follows:

SIDE EFFECTS OF BROKEN MIND

  1. SUICIDAL THOUGHTS

Nowadays, this has become a very major problem especially for middle age groups, as they have lack of patience  for understanding the situations. They actually fail to handle with emotions and situations and often it leads to the end of their life. I have heard about Gloomy Sunday, which was also known as Hungarian Suicide Song. An analysis of historical sources suggests that the song was believed to trigger suicides. So, this is so heart-breaking to see that people are so broken and they are committing suicide just by listening to a song. They hurt themselves, punish themselves just to get peace to the mind. This song was banned universally, as this single song took many lives.

The study by Healthline has defined Nervous Breakdown very clearly. It is caused mainly by depression, anxiety, acute stress disorder .

  • UNNECESSARY OVERTHINKING

Overthinking is one of the harmful sides for our life, as it breaks the focus from actual          goal of a person. When we don’t get solution, then we always tend to engage in unnecessary   overthinking which is also of no use as it leads to no result, anxiety, and no achievement.

  • CAUSES DEATH AND CANCER

According to the American Psychological Association: chronic stress is linked to six leading causes death including heart disease, cancer, lung ailments, accidents, cirrhosis of the liver and suicide.

  • NEGATIVE THOUGHTS

It distracts[WR4]  a person from wise thinking and turns an otherwise well person into a negative soul. It distracts a person from positive approach and forces to take wrong path unnecessarily.

  • LEADS TO CRIMINAL ACTIVITY

It forces a person [WR5] to commit criminal activities as person loses his capacity to think right or wrong. Sometimes, it happens unintentionally and then it costs the person the rest of his life. Professor Seena Fazel has researched about the range of triggers for violent acts in patients with psychotic disorders and those without psychiatric diagnosis.

TREATMENT TO BROKEN MINDS[WR6]

  1. SELF LOVE

“Self-Love”. These two strong words have a prime importance and a very strong meaning, which people do realise but often very late. Today’s generation doesn’t give importance to everyone, but they forget to give importance to themselves also and often commits this mistake and when it comes to realisation till then it gets too late.

According to Beyonce, “if there’s one thing, I’m willing to bet on, it’s myself.”

This quote is so strong as it not only promoting self-love, it is also promoting self-confidence.

Sometimes life kicks you very hard and it is very uncertain that you have never thought of like this. So, this time people often lose confidence like anything and start hating themselves which is not right. Start loving yourself.

  • MEDITATION/MINDFULNESS

Meditation is considered a type of mind-body complementary medicine. Personally, speaking it has helped me a lot, as it just not relaxes your mind but also helps to reduce lot of stress without giving any load to mind and body.

  • TRAIN YOUR MIND

The only trainer of our mind and body is ourselves. I do agree when we are broken, we do need someone to look after us but in the last we all are alone to face troubles of our life, in the last we all are alone with our sorrows as no power in this world can heal a broken mind.  So, we need to understand and train our mind in the way so that we get patience and internal power to deal with our sorrows.

There are 3 steps to train your mind:

  • Learn to breathe
  • Change your thought pattern
  • Focus on problem-solving
  • MAINTAIN HEALTHY DIET

Personally speaking, healthy and clean diet helps a lot in reducing stress. Your way of eating helps a lot to manage your body weight and maintain health side-by-side with workout too. 45 minutes of workout is very necessary for a person to be healthy. It may include walking, running, weight training, cardio, Zumba, dance, etc. Dance is a very helpful and relaxing exercise as it has two benefits of enjoyment and exciting exercise.

I personally recommend Bipasha Basu’s workout, which is easily available on YouTube.

  • ACCEPT THE TRUTH AND REALITY

Sometimes, the most trigger point of stress is that people don’t accept reality of life and other people and they live a fairy tale life and when they face reality they actually get to know about real facets of life. It is very important to accept harsh truth and move on so that clarity should be there and life will become easy .

  • FOLLOW INSPIRATIONAL INFLUENCERS

It is very helpful when we listen to other successful people and to their success. Then we get to know our actual reality when we see these people achieving at young ages. There are so many people who achieve their goal after so much struggle. We should make them idle  and follow their path and make our own successful destiny.

I personally  follow Sandeep Maheshwari videos, as he has so good vibes in his personality, voice and everything. When I read his biography, I learned that he was bullied once and after that he decided to help others who are in need in photography but never took negative things in a negative way, he had positive thought and worked in a positive way and took his life in a positive way and now he is earning so good.

ALWAYS REMEMBER, HARDWORK PAYS YOU HARD

By concluding this, I would like to wind up by saying that LIFE NEVER STOPS FOR ANYONE and it keeps going until death. Try to manage every phase of life, as our lives are very unpredictable and uncertain.

Never stop dreaming,
never stop believing,
never give up,
never stop trying, and
never stop learning.
